The top four regular season records will qualify for the Southeast Semi-Finals, with the top two seeds hosting the lower two seeds as follows: #4 at #1 and #3 at #2. The highest remaining seed will host the Southeast Section Final. If ballclubs with the same regular season record are tied for any of the postseason berths, the procedures below will come into play.
Determining the postseason qualifiers:
When two clubs are tied for the final playoff berth, the final playoff berth will be awarded based on:
1 - Head-to-head results from regular season
2 - Coin toss or play-in game (Home team determined by coin toss)
When more than two clubs are tied for the final playoff berth, the final playoff berth will be awarded based on:
1 - Head-to-head record amongst tied clubs from regular season
2 - Coin toss or play-in games (All tied clubs will be entered in a random draw for home/away/bye to determine matchups for play-in games)
Seeding the postseason qualifiers:
When two clubs who have already qualified for the playoffs are tied for a seed, the higher seed is awarded based on:
1 - Head-to-head results from regular season
2 - Strength of Victory (total wins of defeated opponents)
3 - Coin toss or one game playoff
When more than two clubs who have already qualified for the playoffs are tied for a seed, the clubs will be ranked (and seeds will be awarded) based on:
1 - Head-to-head results amongst tied clubs from regular season
2 - Strength of Victory (total wins of defeated opponents)
3 - Coin toss or one game playoff
** All tiebreaker situations are determined in the order listed above. If step 1 does not break the tie, go to step 2 and continue until tie is broken.
** Both teams must agree to a coin toss. If one team wants to play, a game will be played.
** In the event a one-game playoff is to be played, the date/time/site will be determined by HTL Executive Board unless teams come to an agreement by 7pm on the Monday following the end of the regular season.
