SOUTHEAST SECTION PLAYOFF PROCEDURES

The top two seeds from each division are in, with the division winners hosting the second-seeded team from the other division (2nd East at 1st West, and vice versa.)  However, there is a "qualifier" that may change the playoff field: If the third-seeded team on one side has an equal/better record AND a head-to-head win over the second-seeded team on the other, then that third-seeded team can steal the last playoff spot and would play a semi-final at the winner of their own division.  Again - in order to steal a spot, the third-seeded team must have both... same/better record AND head-to-head win.

When two teams are tied for second place in the division, the second playoff spot is granted based on:
1 - head-to-head record
2 - record against teams within division
3 - record against all playoff teams from both divisions
4 - record against first-place team from same division
5 - coin-flip or one game playoff

When two teams are tied for first place in the division, the teams are ranked (and playoff seeds are granted) based on:
1 - head-to-head record
2 - record against teams within division
3 - record against all playoff teams from both divisions
4 - coin-flip or one game playoff

When more than two teams are tied for first place in the division, the teams are ranked (and playoff seeds are granted) based on:
1 - head-to-head record amongst tied teams
2 - record against teams within division
3 - record against all playoff teams from both divisions
4 - coin-flip or one game playoff

Home-field advantage in the Southeast Final game is determined by:
1 - if both teams are from the same division, then the regular season first-place team hosts
2 - if both teams in the Southeast Final had the same division finish (i.e. both first-place teams OR both second-place teams), then home-field is determined by better win-loss record in Southeast Section play.  If both teams had the same record in Southeast Section play, then the winner of the regular season head-to-head matchup gets home-field.
